About
How it fits together
Most small-business software is the same software: somebody books a time, somebody does the work, somebody gets a bill, somebody keeps the books. What changes from trade to trade is the language, the paperwork, and the rules.
BIAB is the part that doesn’t change. The umbrellas and products are the part that does.
The layers
Packages own one job each (scheduling, accounting, communications, identity, subscriptions, growth) and know nothing about any particular trade.
Products own everything that does: their words, their accounts, their data. No product reaches into another’s, even when they share an umbrella or a server.
Umbrellas are storefronts for a family of trades. They share a name and a website, and that’s all they share.
